Jerome Polin Sijabat merupakan seorang pria kelahiran tahun 1998 yang lahir di Indonesia. Karirnya dimulai sejak ia memasuki dunia youtube dengan nama channel “Nihonggo Mantappu” yang pada awalnya berisi mengenai kehidupannya sebagai mahasiswa jurusan Matematika di Jepang. Pada Channel nya, Jerome sering membagikan ilmu seputar matematika, tips and trick mengerjakan soal matematika, informasi beasiswa, belajar bahasa Jepang, budaya Jepang, dan lain-lain. Karirnya sebagai influencer ia konsisten lakukan sejak tahun 2017 hingga sekarang. 

Sejak usia dini, Jerome sudah menunjukan ketertarikannya di bidang matematika. Jerome sering bercerita mengenai pengalaman belajar matematika pada masa sekolahnya. Semasa sekolah dasar, Jerome belajar dan berlatih soal matematika bersama dengan ibunya. Tidak seperti dengan teman-temannya yang memiliki kesempatan untuk mengikuti kelas bimbingan belajar, namun Jerome tetap semangat dan belajar dengan sungguh-sungguh. Bahkan pada saat Jerome berada dibangku sekolah menengan atas (SMA), Jerome pernah menerima pekerjaan sebagai guru les matematika untuk adik kelasnya. Minat juga bakatnya pada matematika terus ia asah dan kembangkan dengan mengikuti berbagai macam perlombaan dan olimpiade, seperti: Olimpiade matematika dan sains tingkat nasional. Jerome yang memiliki minat di bidang matematika terus menekuni bidang tersebut hingga memiliki berbagai prestasi di bidang matematika. 

Selain itu, sejak kecil Jerome memiliki impian untuk bisa berkuliah di luar negeri. Jerome berusaha mencari juga mempersiapkan beasiswa dikarenakan kendala ekonomi keluarga agar tetap bisa berkuliah di luar negeri. Jerome sempat mengikuti tes seleksi untuk program beasiswa di Universitas Teknologi Nanyang Singapura yang diadakan di Jakarta. Setelah pengumuman beasiswa tersebut, Jerome berhasil mendapatkan beasiswa 50%, namun karena terkendala ekonomi, Jerome tidak bisa melanjutkan beasiswa tersebut.

Tidak patah semangat, Jerome kembali mengikuti tes program beasiswa Mitsui Bussan yang diadakan di Jakarta. Pada akhirnya di tahun 2016, Jerome mendapatkan program beasiswa dari Mitsui Bussan yang merupakan beasiswa dari salah satu Perusahaan di Jepang yang didanai dan disetujui oleh kementerian pendidikan, kebudayaan olahraga Jepang. Jerome berkuliah selama kurang lebih lima tahun disana dengan program studi yang diambil yaitu Matematika Terapan. Jerome yang menyukai matematika, masih konsisten mengambil jurusan yang sesuai dengan minat nya sejak kecil. 

Selama masa perkuliahan nya, Jerome yang sudah menjadi content creator di platform Youtube sering membagikan ilmu seputar matematika. Jerome mengemas konten-konten matematika nya semenarik mungkin. Mulai dari tips and trick cara pengerjaan soal matematika hingga battle soal matematika yang berkolaborasi bersama dengan para influencer lainnya. 

Setelah selesai kuliah, Jerome berkiprah di berbagai dunia entertainment. Mulai dari podcast, MC, Bintang tamu televisi, dan lain-lain. Jerome juga memiliki bisnis food and beverage yang bernana “Menantea”. Selain itu, untuk melanjutkan minat utama nya, Jerome yang sangat menyukai matematika, saat ini sedang merintis sebuah akademi atau tempat bimbingan belajar Bernama “Mantappu Academy”. Mantappu Academy bergerak khusus nya untuk bimbingan belajar pada Pelajaran Matematika yang akan dibuat semenyenangkan dan semenarik mungkin. 

Dari Jerome Polin, yang pada awalnya hanya anak biasanya yang memiliki minat serta semangat belajar yang tinggi terhadap pelajaran matematika, meskipun sempat terkendala ekonomi, namun Jerome tidak pantang menyerah untuk mewujudkan mimpinya hingga bisa berkuliah dengan jurusan matematika terapan di Jepang. Bahkan setelah selesai masa pendidikannya, Jerome beserta rekan-rekannya sedang merintis akademi yang bergerak di bidang pendidikan khususnya pelajaran Matematika.
